Spotlight on Julia

In my earlier post, I wrote about fashion icon Audrey Hepburn. I mentioned she was a prostitute in Breakfast at Tiffany’s which is surprisingly not something everyone knows! The real question I have is how did this version of a prostitute

turn into this?!

Now don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite movies is Pretty Woman. It was a gift from my parents’ on my sixteenth birthday because I had begun watching old movies like Audrey and Marilyn. I had never really heard of Pretty Woman before watching it, but I instantly fell in love with daring Julia Roberts and handsome Richard Gere. It was such a nontraditional love story which I found surprising coming from such a traditional family. Julia Roberts, in the movie, wanted love it just seemed like she couldn’t find it.

Like I said in my previous blog, I am a HUGE fan of the LBD! Any style is good for any event! Here is beautiful transformed-prostitute-Vivian Ward in her glamorous gown.

I find Julia Roberts to be a real-life pretty woman. I find her to be like my mom—not the character but the actual actress.

She has such beauty and elegance and a contagious smile, just like my mother! I think that is one of the reasons I have always been so drawn to Julia Roberts! Her hair, nose, eyes, smile and fashion resembles my mom! My mom even became a college professor (hello, Larry Crowne!)

While times have changed with the role of sex in movies, Audrey Hepburn and Julia Roberts are two women who portray beauty and class in their movies and their style.

I hope everyone enjoys my little spotlight on a celebrity! Leave me a comment to let me know what you’d like to see in my upcoming posts!
